Arizona Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll looks to score on a triple by Ketel Marte against the Philadelphia Phillies during the fifth inning in Game 6 of the NLCS

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll shared his delight with the media after his team's impressive National League Championship Series Game 6 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. While the Phillies managed to take a 3-2 lead after the Game 5 of the series, the Diamondbacks levelled it up with a 5-1 win on Monday. A jubilant Carroll spoke to the media after the game and said it would be hard for them to get any sleep tonight, with the final game looming over them.

Carbin Carroll was selected by the Arizona DIamondbacks in the 2019 MLB Draft and went on to make his major league debut for them in August last year. Since then, he has grown into the team and has been a solid presence this year, earning an All-Star selection in the process. Many believe that he is poised to make a major difference in the Diamondbacks' postseason run this year.

The Arizona side started Game 6 of the NLCS on the front foot thanks to back-to-back solo home runs from Tommy Pham and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. in the second inning. Evan Longoria then added to that with a RBI single while Ketel Marte jumped in with two RBIs. The Phillies failed to respond as the Diamondbacks sealed the win to set up Game 7 of the series. It was an impressive performance that has left Corbin Carroll and his teammates in high spirits.

“It’s going to be hard to sleep tonight.”
