yler Glasnow speaks after shocking Reds loss

Tyler Glasnow has been rocking with the Los Angeles Dodgers since his debut, but even top pitchers experience a few setbacks occasionally. Glasnow's pitching against the Cincinnati Reds was not up to the mark.

The Dodgers failed to score more than two runs as their offense crumbled. Defensively, it was a similar struggle as they surrendered seven in the series opener.

Glasnow was unhappy with his performance as he felt he lacked rhythm with his pitches. In a postgame interview with SportsNet LA, Glasnow reflected on his performance saying it wasn't a great day for him.

"Just not like a lot of rhythm, just kinda stiff today. I think as the game went on like later I started to feel better. I just think it wasn't a great day today," Tyler Glasnow said.

When asked about Will Benson's home run in the first inning, Glasnow said it was a badly executed pitch. He further praised Elly De La Cruz and his top base running skills.

"I think just all the pitches that I threw to him were bad and then not getting hit I think on the base pad obviously. Just me not being quick in holding runners and him being extremely fast. He's a good base runner," Glasnow added.

Tyler Glasnow records eight strikeouts despite loss

Tyler Glasnow recorded his 10th start for the Dodgers. Despite their loss, he struck out eight opponent hitters. In five innings pitched, Glasnow surrendered four earned runs and increased his strikeout number to 81 in 62 innings pitched this season.

After surrendering four runs, Glasnow's ERA spiked to 2.90. The pitcher holds a stunning WHIP of 0.90. It was a rough outing to the mound as he suffered the loss, dropping his record to 6-2.

The Dodgers' offense struggled against Nick Martinez, who pitched five scoreless innings. He also won the game for the Reds, striking out four opponents.

Dodgers' defense was unable to hold off Elly De La Cruz as he recorded a career-high of four stolen bases. Cruz made the game hard for the opponents as he went back-to-back stealing bases. From the plate, Gavin Lux recorded a two-run single.
