The countdown for MSI 2024 grows shorter as the first international event of the LoL esports calendar year is set to start on May 1 with the Play-in stage. The best teams from the regions of China, Korea, EMEA, North America, Latin America, Vietnam, the Pacific, and Brazil will convene in Chengdu to determine the champion.

Ahead of the event, the patch meant for the competition brought a lot of changes that had some major implications for the AD carries. The ADC meta in pro play has been interesting ever since the return of laneswaps. This article will list the best ADCs that have a high chance of being prominent picks in MSI 2024.

Kai'Sa, Jinx, and five other strong ADC champions in MSI 2024

1) Kai'Sa

MSI 2024 will see the definitive return of Kai'Sa into the pro play meta once again. The buff she received on the patch in which the tournament will be played is very strong and should make her a viable pick for all teams. The return of laneswaps also means that Kai'Sa benefits from the meta with all the gold being funneled into her.

Kai'Sa has excellent survivability and outrageous damage making her the bread-and-butter ADC for a lot of pro players when she is strong enough in the meta. Patch 14.8 has definitely propelled her to this status and she will be one of the most contested ADCs in the first international event of the year.

2) Jinx

  • Best Jinx players in MSI 2024: Elk (Bilibili Gaming), Peyz (Gen.G)

With the laneswap meta in full force, the rise of Jinx has been inevitable. The poster girl of League of Legends is the quintessential hyper-carry that any pro team would want to play around with. Packing incredible range, ludicrous damage, and excellent team fight potential in the late game, Jinx is a top-tier ADC coming into MSI 2024.

Even if laneswaps do not happen, Jinx is a fairly decent laner against most of the meta ADCs and can reliably scale into the late-game when paired with supports like Milio and Lulu while having a strong frontline such as a K'Sante, Sejuani, Zac, etc.

3) Draven

  • Best Draven players in MSI 2024: JackeyLove (Top Esports), Gumayusi (T1), Hans sama (G2 Esports)

It's the League of Draven and we are just living in it. The Noxian executioner's buff in Patch 14.8 makes him the ultimate early-game bully. Teams that love to play around bot lane and dominate their lane opponent will heavily prioritize Draven in this tournament. However, the laneswap meta is Draven's kryptonite as it completely takes away his strongest point in the game.

Regardless of this weakness, Draven should see a fairly decent presence at the event and will be a target ban against teams such as Top Esports and G2 Esports. Draven's unmatched synergy with champions like Renata Glasc and Nautilus makes him a very strong ADC in the current meta.

4) Senna

  • Best Senna players in MSI 2024: JackeyLove (Top Esports), Elk (Bilibili Gaming), Gumayusi (T1)

Senna is one of the most reliable hyper-carries in the game when teams can stall long enough for her to scale out of control. The charm of Senna in the pro play meta is that she does not require minions to be efficient. This allows tanky support like Tahm Kench or Maokai to be a very potent frontline while allowing Senna to roam around the map and farm souls while also helping her jungler.

Senna's versatility, overall utility, amazing teamfighting, and monstrous late-game make her a premier ADC coming into MSI. Fans should definitely expect a lot of unique support to be paired with her from teams like T1 and Bilibili Gaming.

5) Xayah

With the return of Kai'Sa into the pro play meta, it is quite obvious who the preferred answer to her will be for pro teams. Xayah has always been the counter or at least the response to Kai'Sa thanks to her ultimate. Team comps revolving around Kai'Sa also rely on heavy dives which Xayah excellently counters.

Additionally, Xayah boasts one of the best damage outputs in the late-game and can rival the likes of Jinx and Varus if given the space to work with. With some of the best Xayah players in the world at this tournament, fans can expect to see a good amount of priority put on the Rebel in the drafting phase.

6) Varus

  • Best Varus players in MSI 2024: Gumayusi (T1), JackeyLove (Top Esports), Noah (Fnatic)

Varus has been the most reliable and versatile ADC in the pro play meta for a long time. The Darkin Archer's ability to go for lethality and hyper-carry builds make him a solid choice in most team compositions. Varus also has one of the highest DPS when played to his maximum potential. With supports such as Lulu, Reneta Glasc, and Milio being prominent in the meta, Varus can truly shine.

Varus excels at shutting down Kai'Sa, Xayah, and other popular scaling champs with his strong laning phase as well. Varus is a safe option for most teams and is highly likely to be seen as a comfortable blind pick in many games at MSI 2024.

7) Kalista

  • Best Kalista players in MSI 2024: Gumayusi (T1), Hans sama (G2 Esports), Peyz (Gen.G)

Kalista is one of the few ADCs that exclusively perform better in the pro play setting compared to solo queue. Kalista is one of the more mechanically intensive champions to play but this makes her a great choice in pro play as most players are able to effectively pilot her team-oriented and powerful early-game kit.

Kalista is a champion that falls off considerably in the late game. However, she remains an excellent choice to dominate the early to mid-game and snowball games. Her reliable ultimate also helps set up game-winning fights. Strong teams such as Bilibili Gaming and T1 can pilot Kalista at a high level to demolish weaker opposition at MSI 2024.
