Apart from taking care of resources like crops and fuel, you will also have to manage your wealth and influence in Manor Lords. At the beginning of the game, you will have some beautiful land to call your own. However, to truly earn the title of "Lord," you need to begin expanding into other territories and start claiming them. To do so, you will need influence.

Claiming new regions in Manor Lords will allow you to build villages and set up additional trade routes. This will increase your profits. However, claiming regions also requires you to spend a good amount of influence. But you don't need to worry about that since this article will show you how to gain a lot of it in Manor Lords.

Currently, only four methods can be used to gain influence in Manor Lords, and they are:

  • Conquering Bandit Camps
  • Upgrading churches and manors
  • Implementing tithes
  • Raising settlement level

Not knowing how these methods work is fine. If you're new to the game, you probably haven't even bothered to figure out how influence works. This could be because it only starts being a significant currency once you've reached the "Medium Village" level and feel the need to expand.

Let's take a look at how each of these methods works.

Conquering Bandit Camps

Conquering Bandit Camps to gain influence in Manor Lords is your best bet early on in this title. Killing a single bandit will give you around 20 bandit points. At a camp, you will be facing an entire army of them, so the gains will be sizeable, to say the least.

You can find Bandit Camps on any piece of land that is not controlled by a Lord. To defeat the armies in them, you will need an army of your own. Once you have around 20 men to fight for you, go around conquering Bandit Camps for a quick surge of influence. You can also get Regional Wealth in Manor Lords by beating these outposts.

Upgrading churches and building manors

Upgrading churches and building manors is another way to get some influence. You can build the latter once you have reached the Small Village settlement level. You will need 5x Timber, 20x Planks, and 15x Stone to build a manor. These are limited to one per region, and every time you build one, it will give you 200 influence in Manor Lords.

Upgrading churches also works the same way. Any time you gain a level, you will be rewarded with influence points. Upgrading from a Small Wooden Church to a Small Stone Church will give you 250 influence points.

Implementing a tithe

You can execute this step if you've already built a manor for yourself. Once you have a Manor, you can select it to find the Taxes tab. Now, you will see a plethora of options to increase taxes. While most of these will add to your Treasury, selecting the Tithe option will help you accumulate some extra influence in Manor Lords.

Making this change will take a small percentage of your surplus food and convert it into influence. So, you can also pump up your food numbers to further increase the influence you will gain from Tithe.

Raising settlement level

Last but not least, raising the level of your settlement will also help you accumulate influence in Manor Lords. To raise your settlement level, you need to upgrade your Burgage Plots. This is the land on which your people live. All Burgage Plots will come with their own set of requirements that need to be met before you can upgrade them.

Upgrading enough Burgage Plots will raise the level of your settlement. However, this is not exactly an efficient way of accumulating influence, and you should only use it if the other methods aren't options you can consider.
