Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen recently reacted to some of the old tweets from F1 drivers in an official Red Bull YouTube video. They stumbled onto a post from Esteban Ocon, who was Checo's old teammate in Force India, about how the Mexican tried to kill him twice during a race in 2017.

This was a reference to the 2017 F1 Belgian GP, where Ocon and Perez collided with each other twice. The post read:

"Damage limitation today, we were having a good race until Perez tried to kill me 2 times! Anyway he didn't manage to do so ending up P9!"

In the video, they already knew who the tweet was from as soon as they read its content. Both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez laughed hard at the tweet. When Verstappen asked why Checo wanted to kill Ocon two times, the Mexican humorously replied:

"I tried my best! I didn't succeed."

Later on, Sergio Perez continued the joke and stated how Verstappen also tried to kill him a few times, saying:

"You also tried to get him a few times!"

Verstappen guffawed once again hearing that, since it was a straight reference to his off-track fight with Esteban Ocon after the 2018 F1 Brazilian GP.

Of course, at that time, both incidents were quite serious for all the drivers involved, but looking back at the incidents and tweets, both Verstappen and Perez were not too serious about them.

Sergio Perez on track limit rule and penalties drivers get due to it

Sergio Perez recently expressed his frustration with the track limits rule. Speaking to Motorsport.com, he explained that he has been losing too much lap time by being extra cautious and that it is extremely difficult for drivers to gauge the track limit from the cockpit. He said:

"I was taking so much margin, giving up so much lap time for it but I still got more. For me, it was very difficult to judge, but there were drivers who were able to do that, so I don’t think I did a good enough job in that regard."
"It was a joke what we ended up doing with the track limits. First of all, I think that it is really bad that we come up with a solution last minute to police it. Then to start giving penalties away."

There were many drivers who received time penalties for constantly going off track by a few inches and violating track limits around the Lusail Circuit.
