WWE superstar Finn Balor shared his thoughts following the conclusion of the Premier League campaign, mirroring the sentiments of many fans. The 2023-24 Premier League season reached a memorable climax as Manchester City triumphed for a fourth successive season, and the final day provided great entertainment.

The 2023-24 title race proved to be among the most exciting in years, as Manchester City needed a final day win to embrace immortality in English football. There was also drama elsewhere, as Chelsea went on a run of five successive wins to leave behind their mid-table struggles and finish sixth, five points shy of top four.

Most football fans live in perpetual expectation of the next weekend to watch their favorite teams do their thing. Finn Balor raised a very important question via his X account by asking what's next for fans now that the season is over.

"So what are we going to do now that Premier League is over??” Balor asked.

The next Premier League season will commence in just under 90 days, with Leicester City, Ipswich Town and one of Leeds United or Southampton set for promotion. Before then, the summer will be full of international competition, with the Copa America and Euros set to take place.

Euro 2024 will be hosted by Germany from June 14 to July 14, while the Copa America will be hosted by the USA from June 20 to July 14. There will also be the Olympics, which will commence on July 24 and end on August 11, just a few days before the new season gets underway.

Manchester City star attributes Premier League title to mental superiority

Manchester City midfielder Rodri has claimed that his side won the Premier League this season because they were mentally superior to Arsenal. The Spaniard believes the Gunners could have won it but their mentality held them back, especially when the two sides played out a draw at the end of March.

Rodri said:

“Arsenal did an unbelievable season but the difference was the mentality”.
“When they came here… they didn’t want to beat us. They just wanted to draw”.

The Cityzens won a fourth successive title after goals from Phil Foden and Rodri gave them all three points on the final day. They finished two points ahead of the Gunners despite being behind for parts of the season.

Manchester City did not lose a league match since December, and their form propelled them to finish on 91 points, bettering their haul from last season. For Arsenal, a defeat to Aston Villa on April 14 cost them more than they could know.
