Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is now on Instagram and has followed multiple players from his own club alongside other club players. The first Liverpool player to make it to the Reds boss's follow list is Dominik Szoboszlai.

Klopp's follow list currently has 60 accounts, including former and current Liverpool players such as Mohammed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, Darwin Nunez, Allison Becker and Trent Alexander Arnold. Former club legends like Steven Gerrard have also made it to the list.

He also followed the official handles of Liverpool and his former club, Borussia Dortmund. Multiple players from his former club made it to the list, such as Mats Hummels and Marco Reus.

Klopp joined Instagram on Saturday (May 18), a day before managing the Reds for the final time. The coach will leave the club this summer and Liverpool's Sunday-night fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers will be his final match, bringing at end to his nine-year-long run at Anfield.

The German coach's account gained 500K followers within an hour of his first post, and touched 900K by Saturday evening. The manager's first post was a collaborative one with BR Football containing a tribute video for the Reds boss.

Minutes later, Jurgen Klopp posted a short video of himself with a message to the fans of the club, explaining why he joined Instagram. The manager said that although he was never keen on social media, he wanted to keep in touch with the fans and was told social media helps in it.

In his first post, Jurgen Klopp shared a heartwarming farewell message dedicated to Liverpool fans, where he referred to them as "Liverpudlians."

"Dear Liverpudlians, we're getting closer to the end. On the 8th of October 2015, we met for the first time properly. I would call it a love affair. From the first day, it was an absolutely incredible, incredible time." Klopp said.

Jurgen Klopp thanked his fans for the support they gave over the years, calling his experience "a good book". He said that when he would look back at it in the future, they would have "a smile in our faces."

"I enjoyed it so much and want to thank you so much for all the support you gave us over the years, for all the power you gave us. I've wondered always that it feels like we write a story together and that's how it feels today. It's a good book. And if we read it in the future, we will have a smile on our face." the coach said.

Finally, he said that although he doesn't consider himself "a social media guy", he believes it could help in keeping in touch with the fans.

"Leaving this incredible place is hard, but I want to stay in contact with you. And even when I'm not a social media guy, people told me social media helps with that. So, here we go. See you!" Jurgen Klopp nended.

Jurgen Klopp joined the Reds in October 2015. He coached the club for nine years, winning one Champions League, one Premier League, one FA Cup and two Carabao Cups.
