8 things players can expect to see in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is just four days away and leakers have not been sitting idly on the sidelines. Every few hours, they provide the community with an update as to what they can expect to see in the next season.

Although not everything being leaked will come to fruition at the start of next season, they will most definitely be added to the game over the course of time. That said, here are eight of the most exciting new things players can expect to see in Chapter 4 Season 2.

1) New exotic weapons/items

Based on more recent Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 leaks, a total of eight exotic weapons/items have been found in the game's files. While leakers aren't quite sure if these will be added in or scrapped, it's exciting to think about the possibilities.

If and when they are added, players should be able to purchase these items from NPCs or acquire them via special means.

2) First-person mode (confirmed)

Although the first-person mode has been used by many via an in-game glitch, it has finally been officially confirmed to arrive in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. Although there's no exact timeline in place for the release, it will likely occur at the start of the season.

It'll be interesting to see whether or not Epic Games creates a separate playlist for first-person mode or allows players to toggle the settings on and off manually.

3) Bunkers with loot

Players will be able to defeat those guarding the bunkers and potentially 'extract' some rewards from it. For the time being, the finer details are unclear, but it may be something similar to the 'Most Wanted' Vaults.

Unlike other Battle Royale games such as Apex Legends and Modern Warfare, solo players cannot reboot themselves in Fortnite. This means that during a solo-match, once someone is eliminated, it's game-over.

According to recent Chapter 4 Season 2 leakers, a brand new Reality Augment is about to change all of that. Players will be able to self-reboot after being eliminated and rejoin the match.

5) Star Wars collaboration

By now, it's safe to say that Disney and Epic Games are here to collaborate for the long term. Lightsabers will be unvaulted, new Outfits will be added to the Item Shop, and players will be able to use Force powers in-game.

6) Neon City version of vehicles

With Chapter 4 Season 2 having a futuristic theme, it's only obvious that Epic Games will re-skin most assets to make them blend in better.

According to leakers, 'Neon City' versions of vehicles in-game are being created with numerous color schemes. They will likely be reactive in nature or illuminate the game during the night-time cycle.

7) Floating 'Loot Island'

With the Rift Gate soon opening up a rift to another reality, something is bound to come through it.

According to leakers, a new POI called Loot Island or Rift POI will be added in as a floating POI. It is being speculated that players will be able to visit it using the Rift Gate.

8) Pump Shotgun 2.0

The OG Pump Shotgun is a weapon of terrifying power, or at least it was since it has now been nerfed and vaulted.

Based on the new Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 leaks, a new version of the Pump Shotgun will be added to the game next season. While it may look different from the OG Pump, it will likely retain its original functionality and purpose.
