Thanking the bus driver is a meme that has become very popular since 2018. Millions of internet users from all around the world have made jokes about this, and Epic Games decided to add it to Fortnite Battle Royale.

Thanks to this feature, Fortnite players can thank the bus driver before leaving the Battle Bus and jumping on the island. This is also a milestone that rewards them with XP, but some of them refuse to thank the bus driver.

Deadpool is one of the characters who refused to thank the bus driver for their services. The popular Marvel antihero even asked Fortnite players not to do it back in Chapter 2 Season 2.

Deadpool was the first "secret skin" in Fortnite that was part of the collaboration. Many players consider the Chapter 2 Season 2 Battle Pass to be one of the best ever, and the Marvel character was the cherry on top.

However, in order to unlock the skin, Fortnite players had to complete several exclusive challenges. One of them required gamers not to thank the bus driver, which eventually became the reason of the character's demise.

It appears that Deadpool has been killed off by Epic Games in the latest Fortnite update. There is a gravestone that simply states "Didn't thank the Bus Driver," which implies that the Marvel character is buried there.

The gravestone can be found on the western side of the island. More specifically, it's present at the Beach Bash landmark, southwest of the Reality Tree.
