As part of the Week 4 Challenges for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, players are being tasked with hunting a Frog from five meters or less during a match. Those who manage to complete the task will be rewarded with 16,000 XP. Although the challenge is easy enough to complete, finding a Frog is not.

It will take a bit of searching to encounter this elusive creature on the island in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. Despite them having more or less fixed spawn locations, with the game's mechanics working on random number generators (RNG), coming across a few is going to be difficult.

A step-by-step guide on where to find Frogs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1

While logic might suggest that they can be found in and around water bodies, this does not hold entirely true in-game. Players can find Frogs on land as well from time to time. Nevertheless, the best place to start looking for Frogs is in and around streams in-game.

One is located between Frenzy Fields and Faulty Splits, while the other is situated between Faulty Splits and Slappy Shores. Given that these streams run for quite some time, players should be able to find a safe space along the banks of the waterbody to look for Frogs.

Another great place to look for Frogs is in and around the small bodies of water located on the island. Landmarks such as Lute Lake, Forest Forge, the unmarked waterbody south of Shattered Slabs, and Anvil Square are all suitable places to find Frogs.

The Citadel is also an ideal location due to the abundance of water in and around the POI, but given its "sweaty" status, it's best to avoid landing there. With all that said, players need to remember that even after visiting these areas, there's still no guarantee of coming across a Frog.

Why are Frogs so difficult to find in Fortnite?

Given their size, they are extremely difficult to spot outright. Even with audio visualization on, it's not always possible to hear them move about. With the island covered in greenery, they seemingly blend into the foliage, making it harder to spot them in a hurry.

To make matters worse, Frogs are fast. Despite their nimble size, these critters can move at lightning speeds to escape players. Since the challenge involves having to eliminate them from close-range (five meters or less), players will not have the liberty to eliminate them from afar.

Nevertheless, with a bit of patience, players should be able to come across one in every match. To make this challenge a bit easier, playing with a squad should allow players to cover more ground during the early-game and find a Frog or two. They can then decide who gets to eliminate it to complete the challenge.

In this manner, an entire squad should be able to complete the challenge over the duration of a few matches. If all else fails, grab a Trail Thrasher Dirt Bike and move about frantically to cover more ground and hopefully run into a Frog in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.
