Where to find Presents in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1

Presents have been added to the island for Fortnite Winterfest 2022. When used, the item expands and within it, players can find items and weapons. While most of the items will be supplementary in nature, they will most definitely come in handy during the match. Sadly, they won't be available on the island forever.

With Winterfest 2022 wrapping up in just a few days, players have limited time on their hands to complete all challenges related to Presents. That said, there's no need to panic. Despite the island being smaller than its predecessor, it's easy enough to stumble across a Holiday Present or two during a match.

1) Manually searching every nook and cranny

Despite what some content creators may state, there's no fixed spawn location for Presents. They spawn randomly all over the island, and depending on the spawn chance, they may not spawn in the same place twice. That said, finding them is all about being at the right place at the right time.

The best way to find Presents is to land as soon as possible in major POIs and scout the area thoroughly. Alternatively, players can move about from one un-named or named location to another in search of the item. Covering more ground will drastically increase the odds of finding the item during the early-game.

Keep in mind that the spawn locations for Presents are not restricted to the snow biome. Furthermore, POIs covered in decoration do not have a greater chance of spawning in Presents. Everything is randomized.

The other way to get a Present is by looking for Sgt. Winters, but keep in mind that he deploys the Present rather than drops it for players to pick up. Nevertheless, those looking for Snowball Launchers will have good odds of finding one within the Present.

Be sure not to engage Sgt. Winters in combat as he and his comrades will not hesitate to return fire. That said, taking them on a fight is not very rewarding. Players are better off taking the Present and letting them go on their way.

Apart from needing to find a few Presents to complete certain challenges, they aren't all that good in terms of loot. Given that players have to either look for them or find Sgt. Winters driving around on the island to receive one, it's rather time consuming. It's much easier to loot for Supply Drops and Chests instead.

While it can be argued that one Present will contain loot worth a few Chests, finding the latter is much easier during a match. In fact, depending on where players come across the Present on the island, they may provide no utility or advantage.

For instance, if players find one at high-loot zones such as Anvil Square or Faulty Splits, they won't be very useful given the sheer volume of Chests in the area. Nevertheless, for those who want to enjoy the Fortnite Winterfest 2022 to the fullest, there's no harm in looking for Presents and opening them during a match.
