The 2023 PGA Championship's Oak Hill Country Club course has been a tough one to navigate for all golfers. With all the pros under pressure, current leader Brooks Koepka had only a few words for the fans who were yelling and screaming during the tournament.

The fans at all tournaments are usually found screaming absurd things, which annoys golfers, to say the least. This absurdity is particularly exaggerated during the Majors, especially at locations like Oak Hill. Speaking about the issue, Brooks Koepka said (via Golf Digest):

"I didn't hear any good chirps, nothing creative. A lot of it is repetitive, honestly."

Brooks Koepka loves the crowds at tournaments and does not mind the occasional banter. However, it got a bit much even for him at Rochester this weekend. Koepka said he appreciates it when the fans at least come up with something creative to yell out after a tee shot.

"I'm not trying to dog the fans. But I enjoy when they are creative, when there's something funny that they say. Usually, that's the one that kind of sticks out."

Matters were even more delicate as Koepka was paired with his 'rival' Bryson DeChambeau. The golfers have a two-year-old history with each other and fans might have decided to dig this up. Luckily for both of them, the rain cancelled out most of the noises.

"Honestly, it's hard to hear. The umbrella, you could barely, barely hear anything. So it was tough, and everybody's got their hands tied."

Brooks Koepka leads going into the final round of the PGA Championship

Oak Hill is not treating the golfers kindly, with only a handful of them managing to stay under par. Going into the final round, Brooks Koepka holds the solo lead, finishing the third round with a 66 and going -6 overall. Viktor Hovland and Corey Conners are tied for second, with Bryson DeChambeau currently in the fourth spot.

The third round ended poorly for Scottie Scheffler, who currently sits in T5 with Justin Rose. However, with the unpredictable conditions, anything can happen, and the win is certainly up for grabs.

With Koepka leading once again going into the final round, it will be key for him to not choke - like he did at the Masters. Keeping calm under pressure is a big ask for any golfer, especially as Koepka looks to grab his third PGA Championship win.
