Michael Block posted back-to-back third 70 at PGA Championship on Saturday (May 20) to finish at tied eighth after 54-holes. On Friday, he made his first-ever cut in the major championships.

When asked about his experience at Oak Hill, he said:

"I'm a PGA member that loves the game more than anything, and I'm sitting here right now absolutely blown away by this experience, but at the same time I'm blown away by how my game has actually shown up. My game that I've always had."

Block added that irrespective of the final result on Sunday, he would be glad to enjoy the experience when he looks back at this.

"I've learned at this point to enjoy the moment, to sit back and relax and enjoy it because it goes by fast, and life goes by fast. Before you know it, you're 60 years old and retired and look back at the videos on this and remember that was the best week of my life, and more than likely this is probably going to be the best week of my life."

Block's impressive performance received immense love from the fans who were roaring for his every shot and putt.

"I told my caddie, 'If I make this putt on 18, this is going to be the closest thing I'm ever going to get to hitting like a Game 7 home run.' I literally told my caddie even before I putted on 18 because I literally felt that man."

The putt didn't go for a birdie though which in Block's words, would have been an 'experience unlike any experience' of his life. Nevertheless, he wasn't too disappointed with that.

"The coolest thing about it was I still had that feeling and moment even without making it, which is even cooler," he added.

When will Michael Block resume play at PGA Championship?

Michael Block is tied for eighth place in the 2023 PGA Championship after three rounds. He will tee off with Rory McIlroy on Sunday. McIlroy is currently placed seventh after shooting 69 in the third round of the PGA Championship.

This is the first time in the 34-year-old golfer's career that he made it into the weekend of the major championship. He is six strokes behind the 54 holes leader Brooks Koepka. Koepka carded another 66 on Saturday to take a single-stroke lead over Corey Conners and Viktor Hovland.
