The PGA Tour is currently in Hawaii for the 2024 Sony Open. The American circuit will leave the island state following the event and head to California for The American Express. The event played at PGA West in La Quinta is set to tee off on Thursday, January 18. The third event of the 2024 PGA Tour season will feature a stacked field.

The full field for The American Express is confirmed and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler headlines it. The 2023 Player of the Year will be joined by the likes of World No. 5 Patrick Cantlay, No. 6 Xander Schauffele, and No. 10 Wyndham Clark.

The event will also have Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Jason Day, Tom Kim, Sam Burns, and Min Woo Lee, among others, competing for the top prize.

Daniel Berger, who’s been out of the PGA Tour since the 2022 US Open due to injury, also returns at The American Express. Shane Lowry, Billy Horschel, Tony Finau, and Kevin Kisner are other top names to watch next weekend. 2023’s breakout star Michael Block will also be at the California event.

Notably, The American Express reigning champion Jon Rahm will not return to defend his title owing to his defection to LIV Golf.
