In Minecraft, players can change the outfit and style of their in-game character to whatever they want. The in-game character has a simple human-like anatomy, but since the sandbox game is highly customizable, the character's skin is also customizable. There are thousands of pre-built skins and skin makers for the Java Edition, while there is a vast variety of skin customizations in the Bedrock Edition.

For those who are new to the game and want to change their skins, they can easily do so. This way, they can personalize their gameplay even more and get further immersed in the world of Minecraft. Here is a guide on how to find and change skins in both editions of the game.

Java Edition has a healthy community of modders and custom skin makers that can easily be applied to the game. To find a desired skin, players can either head to websites and download a pre-existing skin made by someone in the community or head to a skin maker website and create their very own skin.

The skin maker allows players to color every single pixel in the skin individually. Hence, the skin can be anything a player wants.

Once players have the desired look, they can open the official game launcher and head to the skin tab, where all the skins for Java Edition can be managed. Those who already have a few can simply change them from here. If users want to add the new skin to the launcher, they can tap the 'new skin' button, browse through their device storage, import, and use it.

For those who want to change their skins in Bedrock Edition, they can simply head into the game and do so. Since this is a newer game version, Mojang added all kinds of skin customizations inside the game itself.

It is a more traditional in-game character customization UI that lets players change individual apparel and even add unique kinds of accessories to their skin. Also, there is a complete marketplace for skin accessories and packs that can be purchased through minecoins, which can be bought with real-life money.

There are still thousands in the community that are against the concept of Bedrock Edition skin customization, partially because of the micro-transactions and partially because of how bizarre some skin accessories look.
