Ever since Minecraft Live 2023, the entire Minecraft community has been captivated by fan theories and speculations about the upcoming 1.21 update and its features. Despite Mojang Studios revealing only a few primary features, these revelations have caught everyone off guard and sent the entire playerbase into a frenzy.

One of the main features unveiled in the livestream is the upcoming boss mob, Breeze. At first glance, everyone noticed its connection with Blaze, including their striking resemblance and similar body structure.

Many players have been crafting intriguing fan theories, and some might be close to what Mojang intends to do with Breeze. One of these was shared by a Reddit user about the mob and how it might activate the broken portal in ancient cities.

Minecraft 1.21 update's Breeze mob could be a step towards the next dimension

Reddit user Leooon_ shared an interesting theory about Breeze on the Minecraft subreddit. The user discussed its similarities with Blaze, noting that both have rod-like objects as part of their bodies. The latter drops blaze rods, which are crucial for brewing potions and crafting Eye of Ender, which is an essential item for reaching the End dimension.

This theory suggests that since Blaze and Breeze are both of the same mob types but possess different elemental powers, they may have similar drop items. During the live stream, Mojang did not reveal Breeze's death animation, so it remains unconfirmed whether the mob will drop any items.

However, as Breeze is one of the challenges in Trial Chambers, players can anticipate valuable rewards that make the fight worthwhile.

Reddit user Leooon_'s theory proposes the introduction of a new drop item, potentially called "breeze rods" or a similar rod-like item. Just as blaze rods are used to access the End dimension, it's not far-fetched to expect breeze rods to serve as a means of accessing new dimensions. This new item could activate otherwise dormant portals in the ancient cities of deep dark caves.

A Reddit user suggested adding Breeze powder should Breeze rods become a feature. The former could serve as an alternative to waiting for copper blocks to oxidize in Minecraft. Currently, the process of waiting for copper blocks to complete their oxidation takes a considerable amount of time.

Another user pointed out that while the idea is plausible, it would likely require its own update, as adding a new dimension might exceed the scope of Minecraft 1.21. If Mojang decides to introduce Breeze rods, they might expand on their functionality in a subsequent update. However, this will take some time, given that the End dimension is still pending a major update.

Many Redditors have noted a potential connection between Breeze, Blaze, and unreleased paintings that depict elements like wind, fire, ice, and earth. Some players speculate that Mojang might be considering the addition of four distinct elemental creatures. With Breeze and Blaze, we already have wind and fire represented.

One Reddit user humorously taunted Mojang by suggesting that Breeze might drop some nice items but end up being mostly useless. Hopefully, the mob will prove to be an exciting addition to Minecraft in the 1.21 update.
