Fans online are praising Liam Harrison's other-worldly comeback against Thai star Muangthai PK Saenchai just as he approaches his next Muay Thai fight at ONE 167.

Right from the onset, Harrison and Muangthai collided at center ring with an array of leg kicks to start the round.

Muangthai found his range much faster than Harrison, landing all his best shots from the outside as Harrison tried to cover and counterattack. Setting up his combinations, the Thai veteran struck Harrison down first with a vicious head-kick.

Needing a few seconds to get back up, Harrison put his gloves up and the match resumed. But Muangthai kept the momentum going and fired a right hook to sent the Brit back onto the mats.

Again, Harrison dusted his shorts and continued to scrap with Muangthai until connecting with a sneaky right hook, which dropped Muangthai on the spot. Dazed, the Thai fighter tried to recover, but Harrison dropped him two more times to steal the victory and pocket a well-deserved 100,000 USD bonus.

Fans online continue to be mesmerized by Harrison's indomitable spirit. After re-watching the full fight on YouTube this week, they all agreed that it was the craziest fight they've ever seen.

"It was very hard mentally to come back from this" - Liam Harrison admits to nearly giving up after catastrophic injury

Although Liam Harrison miraculously fought back against Muangthai and won, he thought he couldn't come back from a bad injury he suffered two years ago.

Harrison underwent knee reconstruction surgery at the beginning of 2023 after getting badly injured from his world title fight against then-ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama in August 2022.

Suffice it to say, Harrison had a rough time getting back together again, nearly giving up and calling it a career. Explaining to ONE, he said:

"It was very hard mentally to come back from this, especially as an older athlete. I had to push boundaries of my mental strength."

Fortunately, Liam Harrison is 100% recovered. He is determined to make a show for the fans after being sidelined for two years.

Harrison makes his highly anticipated return when he takes on Katsuki Kitano at ONE 167 on June 7 at Impact Arena.

ONE 167 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
