Teenage phenom Johan 'Jojo' Ghazali is definitely not your average 17-year-old. The Malaysian-American standout fights beyond his years, gradually elevating his game against the best flyweights on the planet. So far, he's been able to rack up a perfect 5-0 slate as well as an 80% finishing rate in ONE Championship.

This June 7, he continues his trek up the ladder of contention with another barnburner of a matchup against Vietnamese Muay Thai striker Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat at ONE 167: Stamp vs Zamboanga at Impact Arena.

As seen above, the road to a six-figure contract wasn't an easy one. Despite being levels ahead of his former adversaries, there's still a long journey ahead, especially when the ultimate goal is to fight 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon for the flyweight Muay Thai crown.

But Ghazali, however, isn't in any rush. He prefers to collect as many bonuses as possible before fighting for a ONE world title.

ONE 167 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Johan Ghazali is master of his own journey, doesn't want to be compared to Rodtang

Johan Ghazali is certainly picking up steam as a future dominant world champion.

His aggressive and high-octane fighting style has been difficult to deal with thus far, so he's obviously going to be compared to ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

'The Iron Man' made significant waves in the Muay Thai world with his fighting theatrics, iron chin, and vast experience.

But rather than follow Rodtang's footsteps, Ghazali is determined to be remembered as an original rather than a copycat.

Speaking to ONE, 'Jojo' said:

"It's cool to be mentioned on the same level as one of my idols. But I don't want to be remembered as the next Rodtang, you know? I want to be remembered as the first 'Jojo', the first Johan Ghazali'
