Silverstone (Britain) , Aug 25 - The JRM Racing team of Karun Chandhok, David Brabham and Peter Dumbreck put in some hot laps to be in top 10 during the two free practice sessions ahead of the FIA World Endurance Championship race here Saturday.

The team were fourth in the first practice session with Chandhok clocking the quickest lap among the three drivers with a one minute, 46.491 seconds while Brabham went faster in the next session, posting a 1:47.715.

The day started extremely positively with Chandhok setting the fourth quickest time in the first practice session, less than a second behind the factory run Audis, making JRM the fastest non-works team.

After handing over to Peter Dumbreck for the latter half of the first session, Chandhok again opened the second practice and focused more on race preparation with longer runs on used tyres. Brabham then stepped in to set the team’s quickest time of the afternoon practice placing JRM seventh overall.

Chandhok said: “We started the day very encouragingly, picking up where we left off at Aragon. The set up and the improvements we made seemed to translate straight away. The conditions were very different in the second session, with different weather and track conditions and the wind blowing in another direction.”
