On Thursday, January 4, cops responded to A+ Massage at 7444 South Street after getting reports of a suspicious death. Police later identified the woman as 45-year-old Yuping, who had moved from China. Unified Police Department spokesperson Aymee Race spoke about the investigation and said:

"They made contact with two individuals and they went inside the business and they located an individual who was deceased," said Unified Police Department."

Law enforcement officials are yet to unearth most details about the case, including the suspect(s) and the actual motive behind that fatal stabbing. According to KSLTV, the fatal attack on the Utah woman occurred sometime between 1 pm and 7:30 pm. Police are eagerly trying to find out what exactly happened that killed the woman at her workplace.

Authorities urged the public to help them look for the woman if they were at the scene between 1 pm and 7:30 pm. On Thursday, Unified Police gave a statement:

"The circumstances surrounding this heinous crime are deeply concerning. The victim was working alone at the time, and the motive for the homicide remains unknown."

"Office of medical records… that can always take time. And then DNA results…which those labs can take some time, too. And hopefully, when we get those results back, we can link something."

Authorities have added:

"In light of this disturbing incident, we urge individuals working in similar occupations to exercise extreme caution when dealing with clients and report any suspicious interactions, whether past or current, to the local authorities."

According to cops, public cooperation with law enforcement officials, especially in this case, is required to apprehend the perpetrator(s). The police department has also said:

"(If you) witnessed anything noteworthy or concerning, or if you possess information related to this case, please come forward and notified police."
