It was an early-season Chicago Sky vs Dallas Wings rematch tonight, with both teams having already played each other in their season opener. Heading into today's game, the Sky were seeking their first win, while the Wings aimed to secure their second straight victory.

The Chicago Sky ultimately emerged victorious, staging a late 14-point comeback to claim their first win of the 2024 WNBA season.

The Sky were outscored 20-14 in the first quarter and 22-16 in the second, entering halftime with a 42-30 deficit.

Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings' strong first half with 16 points, three rebounds, and two assists, making three three-pointers. Kalani Brown contributed eight points and three rebounds.

The Sky showed signs of life in the third quarter, cutting the lead to four points, 51-47, with 5:31 remaining. Despite outscoring the Wings 25-21 in the third, they still trailed by eight points at the end of the period.

The Sky then launched a massive 17-2 run to start the fourth quarter, ultimately outscoring the Wings 28-11 in the final period to secure an 83-74 victory, their first of the season.

Chicago leveraged their frontcourt depth, holding a 46-24 advantage in points in the paint and a 34-6 edge in points off turnovers.

The Dallas Wings were missing Natasha Howard, Jaelyn Brown and Satou Sabally, while the Chicago Sky were without Isabelle Harrison and Kamilla Cardoso.

Six players from the Sky scored in double digits. Elizabeth Williams came close to a 5x5 with 12 points, 10 rebounds, five steals, five blocks and three assists.

Diamond DeShields led the team with 16 points; Marina Mabrey added 14 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists; Dana Evans scored 12 points and dished out six assists, Chennedy Carter also had 12 points, and Angel Reese contributed 11 points and nine rebounds.

The Sky overcame a 35-point performance from Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale, who also had five rebounds and three assists. Kalani Brown was the only other Dallas player to score in double digits.

The Sky had a 25-15 advantage in assists and a 15-7 edge in steals. While the Wings made seven three-pointers compared to the Sky's four and were more efficient from the free-throw line (21-23 versus the Sky’s 15-20), they struggled with ball control.

The Wings committed 27 turnovers and managed to score only six points off the Sky’s 19 turnovers.
