WWE Hall of Famer praised Ilja Dragunov for his performance against Jey Uso

During a recent edition of the Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray said that he believed Ilja Dragunov did a great job against Jey Uso on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW.

Ray also mentioned that despite losing in the King of the Ring tournament, Dragunov managed to get over with the crowd.

"Now, they are establishing new characters. I get everything they're doing. Like, the new ladies that they have on board, the 'NXT' call-ups, Dragunov, like last night. Great job of positioning Dragunov in a main event last night, despite losing the match, still great perception. Main event. Got over in the match despite not going over."

Ilja Dragunov has already proven his worth in WWE's developmental brand after winning the NXT Championship and the NXT United Kingdom Championship. His matches have received wide appreciation from fans and critics. It will be interesting to see what the Stamford-based promotion has planned for Dragunov's future on the main roster.
