AEW has invited plenty of criticism throughout its existence, but some wrestling personalities enjoy taking shots at the young promotion more than others. Eric Bischoff has partially built his current brand by criticizing the company, its talent, and especially its president, Tony Khan.

The ratings for the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite were disappointing, with heavy sports competition forcing the average viewership under 700k. The show was headlined by a Continental Championship match between Kazuchika Okada and Dax Harwood, which was the lowest-rated quarter of the night.

When the match was announced on Monday, Dax Harwood sarcastically tweeted about people questioning the creative direction of the bout. After the ratings for the show came out, Eric Bischoff was quick to quote Harwood's tweet to mock the veteran:

"Hey Dax! How are you? Perhaps if there were a story between you and Okada, your main event match (including an over-run) wouldn't have been the lowest-rated segment of the show. By the way, no one is paying me for this post. #WiseChoices http://83Weeks.com 😎," wrote Bischoff.

Eric Bischoff touts his prescience regarding AEW Dynamite ratings

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has long criticized AEW for its creative direction and recently made a prediction that ended up becoming (almost) true.

It's been a rough season for AEW Dynamite, which has the playoffs for both the NBA and NHL to deal with on Wednesday nights. The company's flagship show has been lagging in the ratings, and Eric Bischoff predicted early last month that the overall viewers would drop below the 700k mark before May 15.

Bischoff turned out to be almost correct, as the latest edition of Dynamite drew a mere 672,000 viewers on average, its lowest number since January 2021. Bischoff took to X to proclaim his prescience:

"Purely prescient. #WiseChoices."

All Elite Wrestling has a stacked schedule heading into the summer months, with major pay-per-views like Double or Nothing and All In on the horizon. The company also recently closed a deal to host several episodes of Collision in North America's largest esports arena.
