Mike 'Platinum' Perry, born on September 15, 1991, is an American professional mixed martial artist and bare-knuckle boxer. He currently competes in the middleweight division in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) and has previously fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 15 times. Perry entered the UFC on short notice, making his debut at UFC 202 in August 2016 against Lim Hyun-gyu. Despite the short notice, Perry showcased his power and determination, securing a TKO victory in the first round by dropping Lim multiple times with his potent striking.


Perry ventured into bare-knuckle boxing alongside his MMA career. Competing in the middleweight division of BKFC, he has gained a strong following due to his aggressive fighting style and willingness to engage in hard-hitting slugfests.

Early Life and Career

Mike Perry started his combat sports journey at age 11 when he started training in boxing. However, he did not pursue a fighting career until he got a job in a UFC gym in Winter Springs, Florida as a trainer. Due to this job, Perry decided to pursue a career in professional MMA.


Perry made his amateur debut in 2012 at Rise of a Warrior 5 against Avonte Moore. Perry won the bout via second-round submission. He followed this up and garnered an amateur record of 8-3 before turning professional. Perry made his professional debut at Top Alliance Combat 3 against Hector Tirado. He won the bout via TKO(punches in the first round. Perry then went on to amass a professional record of 7-0 with a finishing rate of 100% at the regional circuit before signing up with the UFC in 2016.

Perry was previously married to Danielle Nickerson, who spoke out about experiencing verbal and physical abuse from him in an interview in October 2020. Nickerson recounted incidents, including one in February 2020 where Perry allegedly became enraged after a bar altercation with a woman.

Mike Perry holds an undefeated record of 5 wins in 5 fights in bare-knuckle fighting. After his UFC contract expired, Mike Perry signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) in October 2021. He fought boxer Michael Seals in a boxing vs MMA event promoted by Triller in November 2021, winning via split decision. Perry made his Middleweight debut against Julian Lane at BKFC: Knucklemania 2 in February 2022, securing a unanimous decision victory and earning the Fight of the Night award.
